Below is an invitation from the Paid Parental Leave (PPL) area in FaHCSIA to make a submission to the PPL review. Submissions due by 31 May 2013.
The Australian Government is undertaking a review of the Paid Parental Leave (PPL) scheme as required under the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010. FaHCSIA is encouraging interested individuals and organisations to contribute to the review by making a submission.
The review will look at issues such as the amount of time taken off work by mothers after the birth of a baby, the availability and amount of leave and payments provided by employers, the operation of the scheme’s work test, and assistance for the partners of primary carers.
As the scheme is relevant to the interests of the National Women’s Alliances, FaHCSIA would like to invite the Alliances, their members and constituents to participate.
You can make a submission by answering the questions in the downloadable submission form on the PPL review webpage at www.fahcsia.gov.au/pplreview . Completed forms should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. For those who do not have access to the internet, written submissions may be posted to:

The legislated review topics are listed in the discussion paper on the PPL review webpage. The scope of the review is also explained in more detail in the discussion paper. There are a number of suggested consultation questions to help you structure your submission, and these are outlined in the submission template.
If you are looking to make a submission be sure to do it soon as the submission process will end on 31 May 2013. If you have any issues please contact the review team at email@example.com .
