WINSC attended the Canberra Rural Women’s Conference held on 18th February 2013.

Anne Whalley – Queensland, Mary Howard – NSW, Leoni Noble and Gaylene Newton – Western Australia, Life member Gloria Jones from South Australia and Sue Martin from Tasmania attended the the Conference and Summit representing the Seafood Industry.
A dinner held at Parliament House in the company of the Governor Quenton Bryce was a highlight of the the three days.
The delegates found that Seafood is clearly missing in the Rural Regional and Remote thinking although the portfolio of our governments includes fishing under the banner of primary industries.
